Mental Health

Around 1 in 5 adults in the United States live with a mental illness, according to the National Institute for Mental Health. Mental health and physical health have a close relationship, with poor mental health being linked with poor physical health and physical issues increasing one’s risk of developing mental health issues. 

Our faculty have conducted research into many aspects of mental health: from how police killings affect the mental health of Black Americans, to how to have a growth mindset to stay happy, to how to use implementation science to ensure that clinicians are using evidence-based interventions to help youth with psychiatric disorders.
