Melissa Berkowitz, MPP, Is Selected as a Lipman Family Prize Fellow
Melissa Berkowitz, MPP, a project manager at CHIBE and an MS-NPL and ML candidate at Penn, was recently selected as one of 16 Lipman Family Prize Fellows – a year-long fellowship through Wharton that cultivates the next generation of social impact leaders. The goal of this engagement is for students to learn about the social sector through the philanthropic process. The Lipman Fellows’ team structure offers students the chance to explore the leadership dimensions of communication, teamwork, group decision-making and emotional intelligence while employing technical skills like data analysis and project management. Melissa is part of a 4-person team responsible for reviewing and analyzing the Public Health sector applications and presenting the findings of the evaluation to the Prize Committee. Congratulations to Melissa!
