Biography
Teniola (Teni) Egbe, MPH, MBE, is a Senior project manager working with Drs. Harsha Thirumurthy and Alison Buttenheim at the Behavioral Economics and Global Health Insights (BEGIN) Lab. Teni works with Drs. Harsha Thirumurthy and Alison Buttenheim on several research projects focused on using behavioral economics insights to promote various health behaviors related to HIV/AIDS and non-communicable diseases in the Global South. Teni received her Master of Public Health and Master of Bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania. During her graduate studies, she conducted research examining the risk of prematurity by race, ethnicity, and nativity. She previously worked at CHOP on child abuse studies focused on imaging as a tool to help identify cases of child abuse. Teni received her BS in Biology from Villanova University. Teni is interested in maternal and child health, global health, and racial and ethnic health disparities.
