Biography
Dr. Parmacek has served as the Chair of the Department of Medicine since 2014, and prior to that served as Chief of the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine from 1998-2014 and the founding Director of the University of Pennsylvania Cardiovascular Institute (CVI). In his role as Chair of Medicine, he travels annually to Botswana where he helps to advise the Botswana-UPenn partnership and attend at the Princess Marina Hospital.
