Biography
Marty King Peifer, MD, MSIS, is the Associate Medical Director of Clinical Informatics in Primary Care and an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. Dr. Peifer and her team have led the informatics support of population management and operational and quality reporting for Primary Care and have supported the same work across Penn. Dr. Peifer is active in defining decision support as well as leveraging technology for the equitable improvement of care. Dr. Peifer sees patients and teaches at Penn Family Care, the system’s largest ambulatory practice. She supports residents, students and colleagues in the use of reporting tools for quality and operational improvement, and she is active in discovering innovative and equitable ways to identify and resolve care opportunities. Her research interests include work to improve prenatal and perinatal care, preventive care, and care for at-risk populations. Dr. Peifer is board certified in Family Medicine and in Clinical Informatics. Dr. Peifer received her MD from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and MSIS from Drexel University.
