Growing data availability and advances in machine learning offer a transformative opportunity to deliver effective, dynamic, and customized healthcare. The Wharton Healthcare Analytics Lab (WHAL) develops the pioneering algorithmic tools that organizations and governments need to leverage these opportunities to improve healthcare for all. Hamsa Bastani, PhD, a member of CHIBE’s leadership team, is co-director of the lab alongside Marissa King, PhD.

WHAL is continuing to expand and build upon its work in global health, including improving access to essential medicines to millions in Sierra Leone (Read more here). Our partnership with CHIBE seeks to improve the effectiveness of behavioral interventions by leveraging machine learning and dynamic adaptation.
