Kevin Mahoney Named One of Philadelphia Magazine’s Top 100 Most Influential People in Philadelphia
Congratulations to Kevin Mahoney, MBA, CEO of the University of Pennsylvania Health System and member of CHIBE’s internal advisory board, who was named one of Philadelphia magazine’s top 100 most influential people in Philadelphia.
Mahoney was recognized as being “the brains behind Penn Medicine’s 1.5 million-square-foot Pavilion, which opened last October,” as well as ushering in “a new kidney-disease innovation center with CHOP and the Fund for Health, a partnership between Penn Medicine and the Wharton School to improve at-risk residents’ social determinants of health.”
Mahoney was also recently named one of City & State PA’s 2022 Philly Power 100 as well.
This list credited him for “continually seeking out innovations and partnerships that will keep Penn Medicine in the top echelon of U.S. health systems. Mahoney, CEO since 2019, has spearheaded numerous capital projects – including the $1.6 Pavilion on Penn Medicine’s University City campus – as well as technological innovations to streamline scheduling, health records and patient access. Most recently, Mahoney announced Penn Medicine’s partnership with the Philadelphia 76ers, as well as an enhanced collaboration with Independence Blue Cross.”
