Congratulations to CHIBE-affiliated faculty member Paula Chatterjee, MD, MPH, who has received the Blockley-Osler Teaching Award from the Perelman School of Medicine.

“I’m very grateful for the Blockley-Osler award and indebted to Judy Shea for putting together my nomination,” Dr. Chatterjee said. “Judy was the consummate teacher, and I feel very lucky to have known and learned from her. She is what makes this award particularly meaningful to me.”

The teaching award was created in 1987 and is given annually to “a member of the faculty at an affiliated hospital for excellence in teaching modern clinical medicine at the bedside in the tradition of William Osler and others who taught at Philadelphia General Hospital,” the Penn Almanac stated.
