Applications Analyst, Way to Health

Biography

Adriana Discher is an applications analyst at Way to Health. In this role, she helps build and implement clinical and research programs on the Way to Health platform. Previously, she held a position as a clinical research coordinator at Penn Medicine’s Center for Digital Health, where she explored the capacity for digital data to predict cardiovascular disease risk, recruiting from Penn Medicine sites across the Southeastern Pennsylvania region using the Way to Health platform. She has also worked as a research assistant for the Penn Acute Research Collaboration, assisting with patient enrollment in various studies led by teams in the trauma and emergency departments at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.

Adriana received her bachelor’s degree in health and societies from the University of Pennsylvania, focusing primarily on global health, the history of public health, and local Philadelphia politics. As part of her undergraduate program, she had the opportunity to study abroad with the SIT International Honors Program in Health and Community and engage in comparative health care studies with faculty in Vietnam, South Africa, and Argentina. She is currently pursuing her master’s in public health at Penn, with a range of ever-changing interests including environmental justice, the digital divide, and global health security.
