Dr. Kevin Volpp Named AHA Distinguished Scientist for 2022
CHIBE Director Kevin Volpp, MD, PhD, has been recognized as a Distinguished Scientist of the American Heart Association (AHA) for 2022.
This designation is given to scientists and clinicians who make important contributions to the understanding of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Dr. Volpp will be celebrated during the AHA’s Scientific Sessions in November 2022 in Chicago, Illinois, with six other distinguished scientist awardees.
“This award is personally really meaningful to me,” Dr. Volpp said. “There are a number of people who have won this who are people I greatly admire. As a cardiac arrest survivor, it is humbling to have my work and that of our team in trying to prevent cardiac disease included in this illustrious group.”
