Biography
Samantha Coratti is a Project Manager working on the Be Active study, which aims to test the effectiveness of using wearable devices to increase physical activity among patients at risk for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. She also works on a pilot study called GAMEPAD, which aims to test the effectiveness of using wearable devices and a gamification intervention to increase physical activity for patients with peripheral artery disease. Before joining Health Policy, Sam was a Clinical Research Coordinator at the Penn Medicine Nudge Unit. Samantha also used to work in the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. While there, she supported research studies focusing on children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis and the effect different support interventions had on the overall quality of life for the family and child. Samantha holds a bachelor’s degree in criminology with a focus on statistics and a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Pennsylvania State University.
