Finding calm in the chaos: navigating youth engaged public health research from pre- to peri- pandemic times”

Engaging youth in public health research has many benefits, but it also requires thinking about research differently – especially during a pandemic. During this seminar, Dr. Frerichs will share her research team’s perspectives and experiences of conducting youth-engaged research. The research began pre-pandemic with a focus on understanding place, space, and social effects on physical activity and has evolved to considerations of entrepreneurship, mental well-being, and resilience. Dr. Frerich will share lessons learned and study findings from both their successes and disappointments.
